Happy new year everyone!
News:
Though I've still got a few things left to re-install, I've now moved to a new machine and am still getting used to the quirks that Windows 8.1 introduces after spending so many years with a machine that used Vista. (What triggered this chain was the hard drive in the more-then-seven-year-old laptop failed, and when I got the machine back, they'd given me Windows 7. About a week later I then went and finally purchased the new laptop I'd been saving for.) Long story short, December was a troublesome month for me technology wise.
On Comissions:
But now it's the new year! Unfortunately the work I'd lined up for the summer doesn't seem to be starting until at least Feburary, and because I'm still a bit out of pocket I'd like to do some comissions this month and into the future. Though I'm not going to push for those just yet, since I'd like to show I can be organised to have them done in time, thus I'd like to get the rest of my artistic requirements done first. I'm aiming for sometime around the 16th to 19th of Janurary to open them, though it may be earlier or later, so stay tuned! If you'd really like to comission me for something though, let me know in the comments below~
Which brings us to...
Mission Two's deadline is quickly approaching, so expect some more prose in your inboxes soon about that. If all goes to plan this one should have illustrations too so that'll be something to enjoy~
Still, these guys have been an unexpected treasure trove of fun and relations. So thanks to stargirl5286 for spamming my inbox enough to get me interested. Hahaha.
I'm also playing with the idea of using one of my NPC slots, though I'm still working on the character's use and purpose. So stay tuned.
Once I'd regained my laptop and set it up so I could use it to make art again, I'd found I'd lost any drive I'd had to complete any of last month's quests, despite the bonus being offered. Not even the usual spur that is defying the deadline was able to change that this time. But yeah, it's a new month and with it new quests (although I think two of them were carried over from last month) aso here's hoping this month doesn't see a repeat of that!
Also I know it's early days, however I'm still somewhat resevered as to what my plans are for the reboot given the timeskip. At this stage I can only wait for more information before I decide how things will play out.
Other Projects:
As you might be aware, I've made a Pokemon Adventure Challenge blog, however since I've pretty much stalled my playthrough of Alpha Sapphire, that blog's also been stopped, if only because I wasn't happy with the protag's design.
I'd been thinking of joining , partially on account of two of my inspirations joining up there, however now that they've temporarily suspended applications to get through the backlog, I'm having second thoughts. In addition, there's also the emergent Nintendo Ask Community on tumblr I've been following and highly tempted to get in on, especially since an unrelated RP group I was in o'er there died out. The thought of moving the allocated resources from Borealis to that tumblr community is a highly appealing one.
Also I owe two people secret santa drawings, one overdue the other not yet due, but they'll be done first I think. Maybe after something else to kick of the new year in terms of art, along with a summary of art meme for last year. Makes more sense to do them in Janurary in my book.
Finally, I'll probably pick up on using Colo(u)rs!3D again, once I start commuting again, though I'm not sure I'll be publishing anything from there, here yet.
So that's pretty much it from down here, feel free to say hi in the comments or anywhere really (Especially if you'd be interested in comissioning me~) and I hope that whatever plans you have for this new year come to fruition!

NB: December wasn't a productive month for relevant art, so in fairness I'm leaving features out of the journal this time around.

okay fine I'll post a status... as a journal! :p ^ is why I'm here; didn't realise 'no to all' wasn't implemented yet. Not sure what they were thinking there, but better to rip the band-aid off and acknowledge flaws. I'll share what I commented there. "Images that come from Bias Automation (Neural Networks, so-called 'AI') are a pain to deal with as fanatics embrace them as 'art'; I can appreciate that embracing them so that they may be curated appropriately is a smart way to handle them, but it's still a loose-loose scenario." I can still wax poetic when I need to! :D (Really icy? "fanatics embrace them ... that embracing them"? I used to be better at catching repeating adjectives. :frown:) G'day! I'm still around on other corners of the interwhens. Work leaves little energy for creativity, but just in case my page is borked by dA updates, hoenniswheretheheartis.tumblr.com is still me~ Also if you wanna say hi or something and don't have tumblr (join the hellsite (affectionate)
Winding up
dA's been great and all, but it's been too long since I actually used it to find new art. Especially since most people I follow now cross-post on other sites and all that. (oh, and there's the whole thing where I haven't made time or effort to put any actual artsy stuff o'er here.)
So yeah, moving on from dA over this coming week.
Think I've really said my piece in the previous journal -->
There's some contact info in the id box above (given you're reading this off my da Profile) if you're after me.
Ciao!
10 chill years...
Woah, what's this!? A journal from icy?? in 2019!?!?

Yeah, so last Sunday (28th of April) this account ticked over the ten year mark. That's... that's a pretty significant milestone.
I think it started so I could follow TamarinFrog (https://www.deviantart.com/tamarinfrog)'s Random Doom comics and then I just uploaded this and that. So let's skip the meem templates and just do a retrospective, eh?

Yay!! Piece No: 1!! Someday I'll look back on this and think WOW!!
Or not.
Well past me, maybe not 'WOW!!' but I guess you liked Lucario and the Mystery of Mew?
2009
Made a pretty cool Darkari out of lego that year. Shame it kept falling apart.
2010
Oh
I played a game about dragons from outer space...
Update 9/1/17 - Found this old journal draft from late November, let's put it up here to feign activity, ja? I'll put in fixes like this if I see anything out of place.

Figure it was about time I mentioned where I was at and all that haha...
It took some time for that spark to catch on, however now here I am in a new group on dA and meeting lots of really nice people. Surprisingly some from Melbourne! I mean that's never happened before! Is this what it's like to join OCTs and RP groups overseas; to have such a strong chance of meeting people who aren't thousands of kilometres away from you at best??
Haha, in any case I'm looking forwa
